Ingredients (Berry Crisp)
- 8 oz strawberries, halved
- 12 oz blueberries
- Juice from 1/2 a orange
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 stick of salted butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 tsp apple pie spice
- 1/4 tsp almond extract + 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

(Serves 6-8)
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Farenheit; setup 6-8 (depending on the size you have) ramekins on a cookie sheet to prevent spillage in the oven.
- Meanwhile large bowl, combine your berries, orange juice, 2 tbsp of granulated sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla until the berries are well coated with the mixture. In a separate bowl, combine all of your other ingredients to make the “crumble” or “crisp” for the top, until the mixture resembles chunky crumbs. NOTE: the almond extract is optional, but will add a great depth of flavor.
- Add your berry mixture evenly to each ramekin and crumble the oats/flour mixture on the top of each ramekin. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the crisp is golden and the berries are bubbly.
- Serve warm and enjoy with something cold!
