If you love a good chocolate chip cookie, you will be in heaven with a bite of this one. It is baked to moist and decadent perfection in a skillet and comes out of the oven warm, rich and ready to melt in your mouth. The texture is a cross between cookie, fudge and brownie and can be baked longer to yield a more crunchy outcome. Either way it tastes like a chocolate lover’s dream come true!
Ingredients (Cookie)
      • 1 cup Salted Butter
      • 1 cup Brown Sugar
      • 1/2 cup Sugar
      • 2 Eggs
      • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla (or paste)
      • 2 cups Flour
      • 1 tsp Baking Soda
      • 1/2 tsp Salt
      • 3/4 cup Chocolate (chips, bar – chopped, etc.);
      • 3/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
      • Optional – sea salt, vanilla icecream, and chocolate sauce

Method
Prep Time: 20 min
Cook Time: 30 min
(Serves 8-10)

    1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. In a 10 inch cast iron skillet, melt butter over medium heat until the color changes to lightly golden  (you made brown butter!) Turn off the heat and add your sugars; stir until smooth.
    2. Chill the mixture to allow for a cool-down before the addition of the eggs. After coming to room temp, are the eggs and vanilla. Finally, add in the flour, salt, and baking soda.
    3. Fold in the chocolate and bake for 25-30 minutes until you reach the desired texture (bake for less if you want a gooey center).
    4. Top with sea salt and other items. Serve and enjoy!
