If you need a rich, hearty appetizer, or a fun weekday dinner these meatballs will hit the spot.
The ingredients are basic, the recipe is so easy and the result is SO delicious. Each bite has some
sweet, savory and just a little spicy mixed in. I like to bake the meatballs to stay on the healthy
side and then toss them in the sauce on a stove top. Very little prep time for amazingly BIG
results.

Prep Time: 20 min

Cook Time: 20 min

Serves 25 meatballs

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Whisk the egg and milk together in a medium bowl. Stir in the bread and mash. In a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment (or by hand), beat the beef, garlic, allspice (or garam masala), pepper, salt, and baking powder on high speed until pale. Add the bread mixture to the mixing bowl and beat on high speed until homogeneous.
  3. Using moistened hands, form the meat mixture into tablespoon-size meatballs and place on the prepared sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes, until just done.
  4. While the meatballs are in the oven, in a large sauté pan, mix together all of the ingredients for the sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook gently until thickened, about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
