Ingredients (Masala Chai)

  • 5–6 green cardamom pods
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 4-5 peppercorns
  • 1 cup of water
  • ½ cinnamon stick
  • 12 tablespoons loose leaf black tea (or 12 tea bags)
  • 23 teaspoons sugar/honey
  • 1/4 cup of milk

Method

Prep Time: 5 min

Cook Time: 5-7 min

(Serves 2)

  1. Crush all spices (not including cinnamon) in a grinder or by hand. Boil the water and spices/cinnamon stick; take off the heat and let steep (covered) for 5 min.
  2. Add milk and bring to a boil again; add tea bags and let steep again for 5 min. Finally, add the desired amount of sweetener.
  3. Serve with biscuits and enjoy!
