Apple-picking is one of my favorite fall activities! And what better way to kick off this season than with
the moist goodness of apple-brownies, perfectly infused with fall flavors. Adding walnuts is optional.
Any firm apples will work, but Granny Smith is my go-to variety for this recipe.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  •  1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  •  3 medium apples – peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  •  1/2 cup butter (melted)
  •  1 cup sugar
  •  1 egg
